The Cumberland River
Lakefront property can be found just to the northeast and northwest of Nashville, Tennessee. The Cumberland River flows from the northeast of Nashville creating the borderline between Sumner and Wilson Counties. Then the Cumberland flows through downtown Nashville, then back up to the northwest of Nashville through Cheatham and Montgomery Counties.

Just to the northeast of Nashville, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, id the Old Hickory Dam. This provides the suburbs to the northeast of Nashville with beautiful lakefront property. Lakefront lots and homesites on the Sumner County side of Old Hickory Lake are in the towns of Hendersonville and Gallatin. Lakefront property on the Wilson County side of Old Hickory Lake is in Mount Juliet and Lebanon. There's a small tip of Davidson County that also has lakefront property in the towns of Old Hickory and Inglewood.

The Cumberland River then flows through downtown Nashville, turns and flows to the northwest through Cheatham and Montgomery Counties. This gives the communities in these counties waterfront homes and lots.
