Tennessee’s I-40 Rated Best Road
Tennessee’s stretch of I-40 has once again been rated best road segment by owner operators. I-40′s 450+ mile stretch through Tennessee is its longest through any one state. This is the fourth year in a row that the best road segment rating, named by Overdrive Magazine, has been given to Tennessee’s I-40 segment.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has worked hard to keep up its infrastructure by maintaining its bridges and highways. This award is a sign that their hard work it paying off.
Tennessee has the longest stretch of Interstate 40 in the nation, huh?

Truck drivers even rated Tennessee’s roadway the third best in the country for the eleventh year in a row.
Well it’s the longest stretch of I-40 because it’s the length of the state. It sure it nice when they get the road construction done on any segment of highway. When they finished the extra lanes on I-65 northbound out of Nashville, that completely opened it up for the evening work traffic.
